Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Inclusion Team at a Secondary School in the PR7 area of Chorley, Lancashire.

Job Purpose:
  • To ensure the well-being and safety of all students
  • To support in the implementation of systems and strategies for students exhibiting challenging behaviour
  • To contribute to a reduction in internal fixed term exclusions
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of the internal exclusion facility
  • Support the development of students with challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement behaviour strategies
Requirements:
  • Good level of Maths and English, GCSE grade C and above
  • Excellent ICT skills
  • Resilience and ability to cope in a busy environment
  • Background in youth work or schools an advantage

This is a part-time position to begin in April 2023. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and relevant vetting checks before an offer of appointment is confirmed.
