Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a primary school in the Chorley area. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo to support a child with suspected Autism (ASC) in KS1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and de-escalate the child's outbursts and develop strategies to prevent them in the future.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo to identify the child's triggers and establish effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Support the child in their daily activities and provide a safe and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in a related subject, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning in School or Health and Social Care.
  • A proven track record of effectively managing challenging behaviour.
  • A Child only Workforce DBS certificate registered on the online update service.
