This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has experience in managing complex behaviours, and is looking to contribute to a supportive and nurturing school environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex behavioural needs, assist in developing and implementing behaviour support plans, and work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with complex behavioural needs, promoting positive relationships and behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers and external agencies to develop and implement behaviour support plans, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student wellbeing.
- Work closely with parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to student care.
- Utilize sport and physical activities as a tool for engagement, relationship-building, and development of positive behaviours.
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an SEMH or similar environment (secondary school experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of complex behaviours and behaviour management strategies.
- A passion for sport and the ability to engage students through physical activity.
- Patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- A desire for a long-term role with the potential for permanent employment.
