About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Anaesthetist to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Southampton. As a key member of our anaesthesia team, you will be responsible for the management of anaesthetic resources across the hospital, working closely with our team of Consultants and the hospital's Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, oral surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, pain services, and endoscopy.
  • Manage anaesthetic resources, including staffing, equipment, and facilities.
  • Contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in our audit and clinical governance programme.
  • Work closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospital's Medical Director.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the GMC's specialist register of anaesthetists.
  • Several years' experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK.
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
