About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in the ENT and Voice department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing swallow and communication disorders in patients with ENT and voice specialisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with voice and swallowing disorders.
  • Participate in and lead videofluoroscopy examinations and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) procedures.
  • Develop and maintain skills in SVR (Supraglottic Videoradiography) and other relevant areas.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach other healthcare professionals, including students and SLTs.
  • Contribute to clinical governance activities, such as audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in service developments and contribute to the growth and development of the department.
Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Registration with the HCPC and RCSLT.
  • Appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience in ENT and voice specialisms.
  • Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
  • Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
