About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Voice Manager to join our team at LSE Students' Union. As a key member of our Student Voice Department, you will play a leading role in establishing a policy function that will enable us to be the definitive and credible home of student voice at LSE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a democratic and governance structure that is innovative and sector-leading, including delivery of our biannual student elections and Student Panels.
  • Oversee policy and research output, and lead on how we support our elected student representatives and campaign groups.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student voice and representation, working closely with the Student Voice Department and other teams across the Union.
  • Manage a team of four permanent Student Voice Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Union, including student leaders, staff, and external partners, to promote student voice and representation.
Requirements
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong policy and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it in a concise and accessible manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education sector and student movement, although not essential.
