**Role Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team at St. James's Place. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in investigating and resolving individual client complaints or product-related issues that may escalate into formal complaints if left unaddressed.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve client complaints or product-related issues in a fair, effective, and timely manner.
- Review all relevant evidence, including documentation, witness statements, and client feedback, to ensure a thorough understanding of the issue.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Business Assurance, Field, and Actuarial teams, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the issue and to develop effective resolution strategies.
- Develop and implement resolution plans that meet the needs of the client while balancing commercial considerations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Identify and escalate sensitive issues to senior-level management to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Requirements
- Strong experience in complaint handling or quality control within the financial services industry.
- Excellent technical knowledge of financial products, including life, pensions, and investments, as well as trusts and tax.
- CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
