Childcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Night Residential Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with young people, colleagues, and external agencies to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and personal growth.
Main Duties- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Assess and mitigate risks, documenting actions and reporting changes in support needs.
- Nurture positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Provide tailored support to young people, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
- Execute health and safety responsibilities, including cleaning tasks, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
- Engage with external agencies, such as the police and Emergency Duty Team, to ensure comprehensive support.
- Accompany young people to medical appointments and police stations when necessary.
- Proven experience in supporting vulnerable young people.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, or be willing to pursue this qualification.
- Demonstrate possession of a full driving license and have access to a vehicle.
The estimated annual salary for this position is £26,100 - £32,400, based on experience. You will also receive:
