Childcare Support Specialist

SuperCare Residential offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, along with various benefits and training opportunities. As a Night Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in fostering independence, educational success, and personal growth among vulnerable children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:
- Direct work with young people, including key working and daily care & support on a shift work basis.
- Collaborate with young people, families, social workers, and other organizations to address everyone's needs.
- Co-ordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans for young people transitioning to adulthood and greater independence.
- Ensure the upkeep of the establishment, making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior.
- Help young people take responsibility for their lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning, and supporting towards greater control and responsibility.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
- Attend to daily needs, including bathing, feeding, and cooking for the young people.
- Care for the fabric, equipment, and environment.
- Act as a role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
- Make use of regular professional supervision.
- Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a Rota basis as required.
- Experience in Ofsted environments (important).
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma or above (or currently working towards).
- Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service (essential).
- Be smart and agile to handle daily needs and activities.
