We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Community Nurse to join our team in East Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in paediatric nursing to provide high-quality care to children with complex needs.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing community-based nursing care to children and their families, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective and compassionate care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
About the RoleAs a Children's Community Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for children with complex health needs, including palliative care, oncology, and respiratory conditions.
You will work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure that children receive comprehensive and coordinated care. This may involve working in a variety of settings, including the child's home, school, or clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide community-based nursing care to children with complex health needs
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for children with palliative care, oncology, and respiratory conditions
- Work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and carers to promote effective communication and partnership-working
