Children's Community Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children's Community Nurse to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Children's Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people with a range of complex needs, including palliative care, oncology, and respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to children and young people in their homes, schools, and clinics
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide expert advice on the care and management of children and young people with complex needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Child Branch) or RSCN qualification
- At least 2-3 years post-registration clinical experience working with children and their families
- Sound nursing knowledge and experience of all basic clinical nursing skills, including care of Tracheostomies, enteral feeding devices, and Central venous catheters
