We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at LER (SG) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update our HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation to maintain our commitment to quality and environmental management.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Provide HSE training and inductions to employees to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing and construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE policies and procedures, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be based in our factory and will spend approximately 70% of their time on site, overseeing the installation of steel frames. They will be required to travel to various locations across the North East to conduct site audits and inspections.
