About the Role

We are seeking an experienced teacher to join our Education staff team at the North East Autism Society. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children and young people to access highly personalised programmes of study, with the aim of helping them to achieve their individual aspirations.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, able to use their own initiative, and have a drive and resilience for what is often a demanding role. They must be people-centred with good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils.

While teaching experience is essential, it is not necessary for candidates to have previously worked with autistic individuals. We are committed to promoting the positive development of children and young people, and we welcome applications from hard-working and willing individuals who are committed to this goal.
