Specialist Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school supporting complex learning difficulties. The role involves providing high-quality support to students with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism. You will be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum
* Help young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism to achieve their educational and personal goals
* Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role
* Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role
Requirements:
* Hold at least level 2 / C grade (or equivalent) Maths and English
* Willing and able to work towards getting formal qualifications, attend training, and take responsibility for your own development
* Passionate and show compassion for children and young people with additional needs
* Ambitious and determined to overcome barriers to learning
