Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team at The Aurora Group. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in various learning contexts.
  • Help young people with complex medical conditions and autism to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and demonstrate the values of The Aurora Group in all aspects of the role.
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role, including physical intervention and personal care routines.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work towards getting formal qualifications and attend training.
  • Passion for working with children and young people with additional needs.
  • Ambition to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to students' communication needs.
  • Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) Maths and English.
