Salary:Competitive hourly rate (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary) depending on experience and qualifications
Hours:Full time - 40 hrs per week, Mon - Fri. Term time only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school supporting students with complex learning difficulties, often associated with profound physical disabilities and/or medical needs.
The Role:
  • Provide essential support to students in achieving their educational and personal goals
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Support students with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop a deeper understanding of Special Education issues and the values of our school
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required
Requirements:
  • Hold at least level 2 / C grade (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • Be willing and able to work towards getting formal qualifications, attend training, and take responsibility for your own development
  • Display a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Ambitious and determined to overcome barriers to learning
  • Able to work supportively as a team member and confidentially when working independently
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to students' communication needs
