Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a highly specialist learning environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring that students achieve their educational and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum
  • Help young people with complex needs to achieve their educational and personal goals
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role, including physical intervention and personal care routines
Requirements:
  • Willingness to work towards getting formal qualifications and attend training
  • Passion and compassion for children and young people with additional needs
  • Ambition and determination to overcome barriers to learning
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in relation to students' communication needs
  • Educated to at least level 2 (or equivalent) Maths and English
