About the Role

We are seeking a Nuclear Associate to join our Human Factors team at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for regulating and influencing the consideration of human factors in the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to the development of human factors guidance and technical reports
  • Assess and evaluate the application of human factors in nuclear facilities
  • Provide expertise and advice to duty holders on human factors matters
  • Collaborate with other regulators and stakeholders to advance human factors knowledge and practice

Requirements

  • Relevant degree level qualification in Human Factors or a related field
  • Graduate membership of the Chartered Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors or the British Psychological Society
  • Experience of applying human factors in the nuclear sector or a high-hazard industry
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
