Nuclear Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Associate to join our team at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. As a Nuclear Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Support experienced inspectors in regulating the construction of new nuclear build and the decommissioning of legacy facilities.
- Conduct inspections, assessments, and research projects to identify and mitigate human performance risks.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve human performance and reduce risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to influence duty holders to consider human factors in their operations.
- Contribute to the development of technical guidance and best practices in human factors.
- Relevant degree-level qualification in Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field.
- Graduate membership of the Chartered Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors or the British Psychological Society.
- Experience in applying human factors in the nuclear sector or a high-hazard industry.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Ability to make sound judgments and influence effective performance improvement.
