We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Associate to join our team at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. As a Nuclear Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities across the UK.
The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in the nuclear sector, working with a team of experts who are passionate about ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
Key Responsibilities- Support experienced inspectors in regulating the construction of new nuclear build and the decommissioning of legacy facilities.
- Contribute to the development of technical guidance and the assessment of safety submissions.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and manage human factors issues that impact safe and secure operations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of human factors principles and their application in the nuclear sector.
- A relevant degree-level qualification in a field such as Human Factors, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Graduate membership of the Chartered Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors or the British Psychological Society.
- Experience of applying human factors in the nuclear sector or a high-hazard industry sector.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with stakeholders.
- A competitive salary of £36,628.
