The Office for Nuclear Regulation is seeking a skilled Nuclear Associate to join our team. As a Nuclear Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities across the UK. Your primary responsibility will be to support experienced inspectors in regulating the construction of new nuclear build and the decommissioning of legacy facilities. You will also have opportunities to support planned and reactive inspections, assessments of safety submissions, research projects, international work, and the development of technical guidance. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of human factors and their impact on safe and secure operations. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and influence them to implement robust measures to deliver reliable human performance. The work of the Human Factors Group is highly varied and dynamic, and you will have the opportunity to develop cross-industry experience and work collaboratively with other regulators, academics, and multi-disciplinary teams. As a Nuclear Associate, you will receive tailored coaching and mentoring from experienced inspectors to enable you to develop the skills, knowledge, and attributes necessary to become an effective regulator. You will also have the opportunity to take up placements within industry to further develop your practical experience. The Office for Nuclear Regulation offers a competitive salary of £36,628, as well as a range of benefits, including a civil service pension and opportunities for learning and development. **Key Responsibilities:**
