Job Title: Band 5/6 Midwife

We are seeking a motivated and inspirational Band 6 Midwife to join our maternity team within our community team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized care to women throughout their antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide professional clinical midwifery care to normal healthy women during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal stages without referral to a medical practitioner.
  • Ensure referral to the appropriate health professional when deviations from the normal occur and work in partnership with that health professional to ensure safe standards of care.
  • Participate in the on-call rota/night duty for community-based care.
Requirements:
  • Nursing or Midwifery degree or equivalent.
  • Registered Midwife.
  • ENB 997/8 or equivalent or to achieve within 1 year.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience as a qualified midwife with all clinical competencies achieved.
  • Clinical experience in a busy NHS hospital (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with technologies commonly used in the NHS (or equivalent).
  • Data collection and audit experience.
  • Experience of working in a community setting.
