About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Midwife to join our maternity team at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a valued member of our team, you will provide personalized care to women throughout their antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide professional clinical midwifery care to normal healthy women without referral to a medical practitioner.
  • Ensure referral to the appropriate health professional when deviations from the normal occur and work in partnership to ensure safe standards of care.
  • Participate in the on-call rota/night duty for community-based care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nursing or Midwifery degree or equivalent.
  • Registered Midwife.
  • ENB 997/8 or equivalent or to achieve within 1 year.
  • Experience as a qualified midwife and all clinical competencies achieved.
  • Clinical experience in a busy NHS hospital (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with technologies commonly used in the NHS (or equivalent).
