Medical Receptionist

Much Wenlock and Cressage Medical Practice is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our reception team as a Medical Receptionist. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our practice.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met with a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
- Manage patient appointments, including booking, amending, and cancelling, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Process patient requests for repeat prescriptions, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Register new patients, ensuring all necessary checks are completed and relevant documentation is processed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to data protection protocols.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and responding to emails and messages.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve practice goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Proven experience in a medical reception or administrative role, with a strong understanding of patient care and confidentiality.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems and software, including EMIS Web and Docman.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Much Wenlock and Cressage Medical Practice is a rural and busy practice serving a population of over 8,000 patients.
