Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Change Management Director to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ongoing process of change across the Trust, focusing on the implementation and optimization of Cerner EPR and other applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of organizational change management techniques and be able to engage with staff at all levels to prepare, manage, and support change processes. They will also have experience in process mapping and be able to work with clinical services to identify training, equipment, and workflow requirements.

The Change Management Director will be responsible for ensuring that the intended quality, efficiency, and financial benefits of the proposed changes are clearly identified, defined, and tracked. They will also provide the Change Management perspective in the development of all change documentation and advise the Programme & Project Managers on process review issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing process of change across the Trust, focusing on the implementation and optimization of Cerner EPR and other applications.
  • Engage with staff at all levels to prepare, manage, and support change processes.
  • Work with clinical services to identify training, equipment, and workflow requirements.
  • Ensure that the intended quality, efficiency, and financial benefits of the proposed changes are clearly identified, defined, and tracked.
  • Provide the Change Management perspective in the development of all change documentation.
  • Advise the Programme & Project Managers on process review issues.

Requirements

  • Degree, Master Degree, PhD or equivalent experience.
  • Prince 2 foundation.
  • Change Management Qualification.
  • Proven ability to resolve crises successfully using strong influencing skills.
  • Proven planning and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functional and inter-disciplinary.
  • Evidence of using own initiative.
  • Experience in risk management.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and towards challenging timelines.

Experience

  • 3 years experience of leading system change, change management as part of programmes or projects.
  • Good understanding of potential project risks and issues.
  • Experience in the use of process mapping tools.
  • Training, mentoring or coaching of colleagues.
  • Line management responsibilities for staff.
  • 3 years experience in electronic system change environment in the NHS.

Leadership

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with strong leadership skills and works under own initiative.
