**Job Summary**
JSS Search is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our clients by managing their credit and cash flow.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and issue monthly financial statements to stakeholders.
- Allocate funds received and request closings and slips from financial institutions.
- Pursue debtors frequently to secure payment and resolve any credit control issues.
- Identify and escalate non-operational cash (NOC) from aged debt.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress the collection process.
- Chair regular meetings with each business unit to address any credit control issues and escalations.
- Provide oversight to existing financial processes, challenging any redundant requirements as the business evolves and ensure we deliver continuous improvements.
- Analyse and identify inconsistencies and record errors in financial transactions, liaise with the technical team to correct booked entries.
- Resolution of unallocated cash, provide constructive feedback on issues which have resulted in misposting to unallocated cash.
- Ad hoc duties as requested by management.
**Requirements**
- General Insurance, Credit Control background.
- Need to have at least 2 years insurance experience working in the finance department.
- Analytical problem-solving approach, ability to identify and analyse problems, creating and implementing solutions, decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to complete large complex reconciliations on financial accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and conversing with external clients.
- Knowledge and experience with financial software is a positive but not essential.
- Proactive and a team player, time management skills and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
