Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced nurse to join our team in a Band 6 Nurse position. This role will involve working shifts alongside a team of nursing staff, supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership: To be responsible for supervising the role of named nurses in relation to care planning within the clinical area.
- Care Planning: To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group ensuring it meets Trust timescales.
- Quality Standards: To participate in the setting of quality standards, including monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy, utilising data available such as learning from incidents and complaints.
- Professional Role and Responsibilities: To ensure the post holder understands and meets their professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach.
- Mental Health Act: To ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 are observed, adhered to, and implemented.
- Service User Involvement: To be responsible for the promotion of carer and service user involvement within the service and for its provision, encouraging recovery, discovery, and independence, taking into account risk assessment and management.
- Therapeutic Relationships: To establish therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct.
This role offers a competitive salary of approximately £39,105 - £48,124 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from an induction, regular supervision, and learning and development opportunities.
