Job Description


We are seeking a Band 6 Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a specialist in mental health, you will work alongside General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide expert advice and support in primary care settings.



Main Responsibilities



  • To provide specialist mental health advice and support to General Practitioners and their teams
  • To work collaboratively with community mental health services to ensure seamless transitions between primary and secondary care
  • To develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and agencies to promote partnership working
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of mental health services within primary care
  • To provide education and training to healthcare professionals on mental health topics


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Registered mental health professional (e.g., nurse, occupational therapist, social worker)
  • Experience of working in mental health services, preferably in primary care or community settings
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health or a related field (desirable)

Salary


The estimated salary for this role is £52,700 per annum, based on national averages for Band 6 roles in the NHS.
