We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will work closely with our Primary Care Mental Health Service to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Mental Health Liaison Practitioners to facilitate mental health assessments in primary care and support GPs with joint decision-making.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to GPs on mental health matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary care teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new services and initiatives to improve mental health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Registered mental health professional with significant post-qualifying experience in the relevant care group.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with individuals, families, and groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
  • Significant experience of working in primary care and community mental health settings.
