Senior Teaching Fellow

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Teaching Fellow to join our academic teaching and research staff team at Heriot-Watt University. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching programs, conducting research/scholarship activities, and promoting the research culture and activities of the Department and University.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Psychology or an equivalent subject and experience in teaching and assessment. They will also possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
About the Opportunity
This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The appointment will be made on the basis of a Teaching & Scholarship post for 12 months. Post holders will engage in teaching (approximately 70%), scholarship activities (approximately 10%) and carry out one or more administrative duties (approximately 20%).

- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching programs
- Conduct research/scholarship activities and publish high-quality papers
- Lead bids and tenders for externally-funded research projects
- Promote the research culture and activities of the Department and University
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members
