Specialist Clinical Role in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The post is designed to provide specialist advanced clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, contributing to the third tier of the doctors in training rota. The working pattern includes protected time for additional specialised experience and projects available within this tertiary O&G care setting.

This role is suitable for a senior trainee/post CCT doctor/consultant looking to gain further experience and enhance their CV. Particular specialised interest areas can be negotiated, including robotic surgery, gynae-oncology, early pregnancy, pre-term birth, obesity in pregnancy, maternal medicine, maternity risk management, assisted conception, including scanning and quality improvement.

The post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the obstetrics and gynaecology service, working closely with the clinical directors and other healthcare professionals.
