About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT and Data Quality Manager to join our team at The Saltaire & Windhill Medical Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our IT strategy, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our IT strategy, aligning with our business objectives and ensuring seamless integration with our clinical system.
  • Oversee the management of our information systems, including SystmOne, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of our clinical system products and other software suppliers, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and extract data for service improvement, internal and external reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Create and manage templates, protocols, and SystmOne alerts to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Develop and maintain our Practice website, ensuring it is up-to-date and informative.
  • Provide upskilling training to staff on the use of information systems, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of our organization.
  • Lead on analysis of datasets from information systems and data provided from internal and external sources to inform business decisions.
  • Build a working relationship with our NHS IT system provider to maximize the benefits of the service for our Practice.
  • Develop robust IT business continuity plans to minimize disruption in the event of an NHS IT failure.
  • Ensure all IT-related standard operating procedures are documented, reviewed, communicated, and adhered to.
  • Support the installation and configuration of hardware and software within the Practice.
  • Maximize internal systems to ensure robust delivery of services, including Wi-Fi, telephone systems, and mobile devices.
  • Be the main contact for coordinating all IT issues within the Practice.
Information Governance and Data Quality
  • Lead on ensuring best practice in Information Governance, working closely with the ICB, Data Protection Officer, and Information Governance Lead.
  • Undertake tasks required or advised under GDPR, including data mapping, reporting data breaches, and compiling retention schedules.
  • Manage and oversee agreements with third-party organizations to ensure our data is protected appropriately.
  • Ensure data sharing agreements are in place with third parties.
  • Identify training needs and provide regular staff updates.
  • Maintain an organization training matrix.
  • Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Security Toolkit around Data requirements and develop action plans to address any non-compliance.
  • Have knowledge and experience of maintaining records to CQC standards.

We are looking for an individual with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience in supervising/managing/training staff.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to formulate strategy and produce operational policies and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proven work experience in management, operations, or communication.
  • Experience of managing a customer-focused team.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Recognized IT and/or IG qualification.
  • Recognized leadership and/or management qualification.
