About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an IT and Data Quality Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our organization's IT and data quality initiatives, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of data governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on innovation and the best use of IT and clinical systems to benefit the organization.
  • Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of clinical system products and other software suppliers.
  • Build searches and extract data for service improvement, internal and external reporting, and quality improvement.
  • Create and provide ongoing management of templates, protocols, and clinical system alerts.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the organization's website.
  • Provide upskilling training to staff on the use of information systems.
  • Lead on analysis of datasets from information systems and data provided from internal and external sources to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Build a working relationship with the NHS IT system provider to maximize the benefit of the service for the organization.
  • Develop robust IT business continuity plans, working with the NHS IT system provider to minimize disruption to the organization in the event of an NHS IT failure.
  • Ensure that all IT-related standard operating procedures are documented, reviewed, communicated, and adhered to.
  • Support the installation and configuration of hardware and software within the organization.
  • Maximize internal systems to ensure robust delivery of services, including Wi-Fi, telephone systems, and mobile devices.
  • Be the main contact for coordinating all IT issues within the organization.
  • Lead on ensuring best practice in Information Governance.
  • Work closely with the ICB, Data Protection Officer, and Information Governance Lead to ensure that all requirements in line with technical, cyber, and physical security standards are delivered and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Undertake the range of tasks required or advised under GDPR, by the ICO, and the National Data Security and Protection Toolkit, such as data mapping, reporting data breaches, compiling retention schedules, compliance audits, etc.
  • Manage and oversee agreements with third-party organizations to ensure that our data is protected appropriately.
  • Ensure that data sharing agreements are in place with third parties.
  • Identify training needs and regular staff updates.
  • Maintenance of an organization training matrix.
  • Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Security Toolkit around Data requirements and develop action plans to address any non-compliance.
  • Have knowledge and experience of maintaining records to CQC standards.
