Description: Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at an outstanding SEND school in Wigan. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting primary-aged children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the school's children with their learning and general well-being
* Establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils
* Demonstrate positive behaviour management skills and adopt an individualised approach to each pupil
* Support with care needs when necessary
Requirements:
* Experience working with SEMH children or adults
* Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
* Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
* Desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual
* Positive and creative approach to assisting pupils' individual needs
What We Offer:
* Competitive pay rate of £85-£95 per day
* Paid directly via PAYE by our on-site payroll team
