Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking two Behaviour Mentors to join our team at the Exeter provision, where you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils who have had difficulty thriving in mainstream secondary schools or special schools.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require high levels of support, often including 1:1 support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences. You will be responsible for designing a wide range of personalised learning in and out of the classroom to engage the student, build resilience, and provide the foundation for rapid academic progress.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- Be confident working within small groups and 1:1
- Relevant experience working with children (or adults) with special educational needs
- A passion for working with children and young people in SEN settings
- Have a full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Minimum of level 2 qualification or equivalent
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has experience working within a SEN setting and has a passion to develop this further. This role would also be perfect for someone with a healthcare/support worker/sports coach background.
