Job Summary: We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in helping students who face challenges in mainstream education, special school environments, or are transitioning back from out-of-county placements.
About the Role: Our Behaviour Mentor will work within an alternative provision setting in either Exeter or Tiverton, providing individualised support, tailored to each student's needs. This includes 1:1 mentoring, thematic learning experiences, and personalised timetables designed to build resilience and foster rapid academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 mentoring and small group work to students with special educational needs
- Develop and implement thematic learning experiences to engage students and support their development
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to provide a holistic support package for students
- Contribute to the development of personalised timetables and learning plans to meet the needs of individual students
Requirements:
- Current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Confidence in working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
- Relevant experience with children or adults with special educational needs
- A strong passion for working with young people in SEN settings
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Minimum level 2 qualification or equivalent
