The HMPPS Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) programme is a key initiative that aims to reduce reoffending rates. As a member of our team, you will work closely with participants to help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement, achieve agreed milestones, and develop skills that will enhance their employability.

We are seeking individuals who possess excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Strong interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and motivational skills, are essential for supporting participants from diverse backgrounds.

A demonstrated commitment to the rehabilitation of prisoners and the ability to work independently, providing community-based support, are also essential qualities for this role. Additionally, you will need to be aware of and committed to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.

As a Custody and Community Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work across different locations in custody at HMP Highpoint and in the community in Cambridge.
