Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality therapeutic support to children with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and other complex needs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
You will have a foundation degree in Clinical Assistant Practice or equivalent, with experience working with children, young people, and families or within the Occupational Therapy service. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans;
- Delivering evidence-based interventions and therapies to promote independence, health, and well-being;
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to Occupational Therapists and other stakeholders;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve shared goals.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A strong understanding of child development, disability issues, and occupational therapy principles;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients, families, and colleagues;
- Experience working in community settings, with a focus on promoting independence and empowering individuals;
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
