Pharmacy Homecare Officer

We are seeking a motivated and organized Pharmacy Homecare Officer to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing homecare prescriptions, generating orders, and maintaining relevant databases.
As part of our Homecare services expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as a key part of the Homecare team in Pharmacy across both Bedfordshire Hospital sites. This role involves activities related to management of Homecare prescriptions and generating orders for these via Homecare providers used by the Trust using the Pharmacy computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out range of duties associated with ordering/receipt and invoicing of medicines provided through Homecare medicine providers using the Pharmacy computer systems.
- Maintain relevant databases related to all aspects of Homecare medicines provision and provide appropriate reports as required.
- Carry out range of duties associated with ordering/receipt and invoicing of pharmaceutical items to cover absences in the Pharmacy Procurement team, as required, using the Pharmacy computer system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* GCSE English and maths equivalent
* Full ECDL or equivalent experience
* Level 2 NVQ units in relevant Pharmaceutical area or equivalent
* Experience of working to deadlines
* Experience of data inputting - raising orders/invoicing
* Experience of running simple reports using Excel or similar
* Previous experience of working with pharmaceutical products
* Experience of raising orders/invoicing
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include opportunities for career development and a supportive work environment.
