About the Role

The Working Supervisor - Grounds Maintenance will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of our contracts, ensuring the smooth operation of our grounds maintenance services. This position involves coordinating the planning and execution of works, managing the performance of contract staff, and maintaining health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of grounds maintenance works, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Manage the performance of contract staff, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure they meet their targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and address any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Management team to ensure seamless communication and coordination across all contracts.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that all contracts are delivered within budget and to the required standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents or near misses to the relevant authorities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance operations and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
  • IOSH level qualification, horticultural qualification, and a driving license are required for this role.
