Job Title: Associate Director of Pharmacy, Patient Care

About the Role:

The Associate Director of Pharmacy, Patient Care will be responsible for leading the delivery of Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Services across the Trust. This role will work closely with the Associate Director of Pharmacy, Patient Services to ensure the effective delivery of pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement the Trust's Medicines Optimisation and Pharmacy Services Strategy, ensuring alignment with national priorities and guidelines.
  2. Service Delivery: Lead the delivery of Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Services, including clinical pharmacy, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior managers, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to provide expert advice on medicines optimisation and pharmacy services.
  4. Staff Management: Recruit, manage, and develop staff within the areas of responsibility, ensuring the effective delivery of pharmacy services.
  5. Representation and Governance: Represent the department on Trust-wide groups and contribute to relevant committees dealing with medicines-related issues.
