Job Title: Associate Director of Pharmacy

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Pharmacy to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our pharmacy services to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

About the Role

The Associate Director of Pharmacy will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of pharmacy services to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Managing and developing a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services with other departments.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to staff on pharmacy-related matters.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in a senior pharmacy leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Membership of a relevant pharmacy leadership body.
  • Experience of managing a pharmacy service, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
