About the RoleThe Associate Director of Pharmacy, Patient Care will be responsible for leading, developing, and delivering Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Services to allocated areas of responsibility. This includes:
- Leading and managing a team of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve medicines optimisation and patient safety.
- Working closely with the Director of Pharmacy to plan and manage all aspects of Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Services, including budgets and staff.
- Representing the department on Trust-wide groups and contributing to relevant committees dealing with medicines-related issues.
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Medicines Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to improve medicines optimisation and patient safety.
- Service Delivery: Work closely with the Director of Pharmacy to plan and manage all aspects of Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Services, including budgets and staff.
- Representation and Governance: Represent the department on Trust-wide groups and contribute to relevant committees dealing with medicines-related issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of medicines optimisation and patient safety principles.
- Experience of working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
