About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense non-sterile and sterile medicinal products for patients, adhering to strict quality control procedures.
  • Supervise and train Pharmacy Assistants and Students, ensuring they meet the required standards of service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Specialist Technicians to ensure seamless service delivery and quality assurance.

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
    • Significant post-qualification experience in aseptic services and dispensing.
    • Portfolio of evidence for continuing professional development.
  • Desirable:
    • Ward top-up experience.
    • Aseptic preparation and cytotoxic reconstitution skills.
    • NHS experience.
