About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the preparation and dispensing of medicines, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medicines, including non-sterile and sterile products, in a controlled clean room environment.
  • Supervise and accuracy check the work of Pharmacy Technicians, Students, and Pharmacy Assistants.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the training and development of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a pharmacy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in an Aseptic Services Pharmacy environment.
  • Knowledge of medicines management and dispensing practices.
