Job Title: Associate Director of Pharmacy

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Pharmacy to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our medicines optimisation and pharmacy services.

About the Role

The Associate Director of Pharmacy will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of medicines optimisation and pharmacy services strategies
  • Managing and developing a team of pharmacy professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of pharmacy services
  • Providing expert advice on medicines optimisation and pharmacy services to senior managers and clinicians
  • Representing the pharmacy department on trust-wide groups and committees
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in pharmacy leadership and management
  • Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and pharmacy services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent practical experience
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Membership of relevant pharmacy leadership bodies
