Associate Director of Quality Improvement

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Quality Improvement to join our team at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. This is a key leadership role that will play a central part in shaping and implementing our Trust-wide Quality Improvement plans.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be a member of our Quality & Professional Standards Directorate, providing leadership within the Quality Improvement team and as a senior leader across the organisation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Executive Director of Quality/Chief Paramedic to provide leadership and build on the foundation laid by the initial phase of our Trust QI vision.
- Embedding Quality Improvement from the Board to the front line, ensuring that our Trust ethos and approach to QI is at the heart of day-to-day practice and underpins continuous improvement.
- Working with NHS England and system partners to support Quality Improvement across ICB systems.
- Being a role model for transparent decision making and public accountability, and supporting matrix working across Trust portfolios.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education to PhD or master's level in a relevant subject, with equivalent industry experience.
- Expert subject matter knowledge in relation to Quality Improvement, with detailed insight into international approaches and evidence.
- Significant experience of leading Quality Improvement in a healthcare or other environment.
- Substantial and proven senior leadership experience in a complex environment and across a number of functions.
- Evidence of significant continuing professional development relevant to the field.
