Associate Director of Nursing and Quality Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Nursing and Quality to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Nursing, Quality and Professions Directorate, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our Trust and delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Directorate teams and related quality and patient safety portfolios across the Trust, ensuring the delivery of quality and patient safety targets.
- Develop and implement policies and strategies for quality, patient safety, and service improvement, and be responsible for the timely production of reports, business cases, and research and capital bids.
- Work closely with the Deputy Director of Nursing, Quality and Professions to provide overall strategic direction, vision, leadership, and management for the Directorate and its work in the Trust.
- Support the Chief Nurse & Director of Quality and Professions in providing overall strategic direction, vision, leadership, and management for the directorate and its work in the Trust.
- Substantial post-registration experience at a senior level in an NHS Trust, setting standards and monitoring performance.
- Experience of strategic planning and development, with a proven track record of strategic and operational management and delivery.
- Demonstrable expertise in clinical, service, and business management functions, including the application of HR and finance to achieve outcomes in agreed timeframes.
- Significant and proven track record of leadership, vision, long-term strategic thinking, and planning, with a sense of managing political situations effectively.
- Advanced knowledge in professional conduct, competency, policies, procedures, and referral to professional bodies.
- Ability to analyse highly complex numerical data and written information, assess options, and draw appropriate conclusions.
- Significant highly developed professional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to enthuse, persuade, motivate, involve, and develop staff and teams.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health, and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
