National Radiological Laboratory (NRL) is recruiting a Nuclear Hazard Risk Specialist to work on a 12-month contract in the Warrington area. As a Senior Radiological Safety Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear facilities and mitigating potential hazards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk-based approaches to safety management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide expert guidance on safety case documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of safety-related systems and processes
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Science or Engineering related discipline
  • Proven experience as a senior Safety Assessor in nuclear or high hazard environments
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
