The Sports Consultancy is a renowned international consulting firm with extensive experience in commercial partnerships and advisory services. Our expertise spans sport, culture, and entertainment.

We apply data analytics to tackle complex business challenges and drive meaningful results.

Our Commercial Partnership team utilises advanced tools and insights to achieve client objectives and maximise returns from commercial collaborations.

We collaborate with rightsholders and brands on both sides of the relationship.

We seek an experienced Commercial Rights Lead to spearhead partnerships for clients, lead our sales team, and expand our commercial department.

About the Role:

  1. Identify potential partners for our clients using intelligence-driven approaches.
  2. Establish a pipeline of partnership opportunities for our rights holder clients by developing new leads.
  3. Reach out to potential brands to gauge interest in partnership opportunities and engage directly with brands across key industry sectors to understand their objectives and sell our rights opportunities.
  4. Manage sales cycles from research to initial outreach, pitching, and closing.
  5. Conduct research on sponsorship trends, categories, companies, and contacts to support sales activity.
  6. Collaborate on projects across other departments and services, including rights holder consulting, rights marketing, brand partnerships, and sponsorship consulting divisions.
  7. Contribute to innovating and developing our rights sales optimisation, valuation, prospecting, and sales strategies.
  8. This is a client-facing role within a wider Consulting team.
  9. Work with the team to design high-quality deliverables that meet and exceed client needs.
  10. Lead team members through coaching and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in sales/business development, preferably in the sports industry but open to other industries.
  • Experience brokering sponsorship deals.
  • A deep understanding of sponsorship and why brands invest in sports sponsorship.
  • Experience engaging prospects and delivering sales meetings.
  • Ability to create and deliver confident sales presentations.
  • A history of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively.
  • Deliver high-quality, structured, insight-led, robust, and accurate deliverables.
  • A genuine passion for sport.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to meet challenging demands.

Candidate Requirements:
